Botox and Dysport are neuromodulators that block nerve signals and relax muscles. It is injected in small quantities into specific areas of the face to treat concerns including forehead lines and wrinkles, frown lines, crow’s feet or lines along the outside of the eyes, chin dimples, small upper lips, and fine lines around the mouth. Botox injections are safe when performed by a trained and knowledgeable provider and are relatively painless. Results can be noticed within 3-5 days of treatment with peak effect being two weeks after injection. Results last 3-4 months depending on the amount of Botox or Dysport used.
